CONSTRUCTION
Body is made of thick aluminium sheet
and powder coated. Nichrome wire of 80/20 grade
is used as resistance material. Total insulation
is of Mica. Resistance material and insulation are
held tight in between powder coated aluminium parts
and squeezed.
This construction gives following advantages.
a) Very good insulation resistance even in extreme humid conditions.
b) Close tolerance of electrical rating.
c) Quick and uniform heating.
d) Fast dissipation of heat into air.
e) Can withstand much higher degree of mechanical shock and vibration.
f) Porcelain connector of 15 A to accommodate 2 nos. of 2.5 sq. mm. terminals.
g) Heat generating area of heater is kept elevated to facilitate passage of heat directly to air, without heating body of panel.
